Liquid fuel with wick: Burns without soot or odors. \nThis fuel is made from pure diethylene glycol (DEG), which is also used as antifreeze in radiators. \nUsing a wick, DEG can be vaporized and burned despite its relatively high flash point of 143°C. \nHendi sells this fuel in sealed, non-refillable metal cans of 145 or 200 grams. \nThe burn time of a can is inversely proportional to the intensity of its flame, which can be adjusted by varying the exposed height of the wick. \nUse: Place directly under a chafing dish or other suitable heating appliance for use with open flames from liquid fuel. \nBurn time: ± 4 hours for 145 gram cans, ± 6 hours for 198 and 200 gram cans. \nHeat output: approximately 50% of ethanol-based fuel gel. \nAdvantages over fuel gel: \n- Safer to use. No dangerous refilling. The flame is more visible and predictable. \n- Cans remain cool enough to touch safely. Can be used without a holder. \n- Safer in case of accidents. Any spillage will be minimal and hardly flammable. \n- Properly re-sealable and reusable. \n- Easy to extinguish by blowing or placing the cap. \n- Cost per burning hour comparable to ethanol-based gel. \n- Less intense flame. Reduces the possibility of chafing dish water pans running dry. \n\nWARNING: \nDiethylene glycol is a dangerous irritant. \nAlways wash hands after skin contact with the liquid: preferably wear latex gloves when adjusting the wick height. \nA Safety Data Sheet (SDS) is available on the Hendi website; it is recommended to print a copy and keep it nearby.\nCode 193938\nEAN Code:8711369193938
